State Government to Introduce New Cooperative Code Soon: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma

 Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced that the state government will soon introduce a new Cooperative Code, aimed at strengthening the cooperative sector. The announcement was made in the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah during a public address at Dadia village.

Highlighting the vision of the state, Sharma said that Rajasthan is rapidly progressing on the path of prosperity through cooperation. He stated that the government is empowering cooperative societies and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), with over 41,000 cooperative societies in the state serving more than 1.1 crore people. Additionally, 976 new Multi-Purpose PACS (M-PACS) have been formed, and the government aims to establish cooperative societies in all remaining gram panchayats within two years.

Over 75,000 Youth Appointed; 2 Lakh Jobs in Pipeline

The Chief Minister emphasized that the double-engine government is committed to the welfare of women, youth, farmers, and the poor. He announced that more than 75,000 government positions have already been filled, and recruitment for another 28,000 posts is underway. In total, over 2 lakh appointments are currently being processed.

10,000 Villages to Be Made Poverty-Free

As part of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana, the government aims to uplift all BPL families in 10,000 villages above the poverty line. In the first phase, surveys and application processes in 5,000 villages have been completed, with work ongoing in the remaining villages. Sharma highlighted that the Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight had provided substantial relief to lakhs of needy families, aligning with the government’s vision of inclusive development.

Strong Focus on Farmers and Women Empowerment

The state government has increased the Kisan Samman Nidhi from ₹6,000 to ₹9,000, with plans to gradually raise it to ₹12,000. So far, over ₹6,800 crore has been transferred to more than 76 lakh farmers. He added that efforts are underway to ensure daytime electricity supply for agriculture.

On women’s welfare, Sharma stressed that his government is working sensitively and sincerely to support holistic development for women across the state.

Political Criticism of Congress

Taking a direct swipe at the opposition, Sharma said that Congress only spoke of welfare for the poor but failed to take action. In contrast, he emphasized that BJP governments at both the Centre and state are delivering on their promises, implementing multiple schemes aimed at improving the lives of the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.
