(a Government of India enterprise), Founding Chairperson of FICCI FLO Jaipur, and Patron of The Earth Association, described the Act as the beginning of a new era for women in India.
Addressing the media, Mrs. Buchra stated that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act will not only ensure political representation for women but also empower them to actively participate in decision-making processes. She emphasized that empowering women strengthens not just families but society as a whole.
Welcoming the Act, she highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized that when women progress, the nation progresses. She said the Act reflects this vision by strengthening women's role as policymakers after advancing their social and economic development. According to her, this legislation will prove to be a milestone not only politically but also in the overall development of women.
Mrs. Buchra further added that the Act will provide political opportunities to women across all sectors. It is not merely a matter of law and governance but a step toward shaping the future of India. With greater representation in Parliament and State Assemblies, women will help ensure that policies are more balanced and grounded in real needs. She noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the focus has shifted from “women development” to “women-led development.”
A Milestone in Women Empowerment
Dr. Hemlata Sharma and Dr. Sheela Agrawal, President and representatives of The Earth Association, also termed the Act a milestone in women empowerment. They stated that the need to enhance women's participation in politics has long been felt, and this law fulfills that objective.

It will provide women with greater opportunities in politics, enabling their voices to play a more effective role in policymaking and strengthening their contribution to national development.
