Jaipur. Umang Today's Women, presented by Neelam Stainless Steel, is set to organize "Kitchen Queen of Rajasthan," the state's biggest cooking competition aimed at celebrating Rajasthan's rich culinary heritage and recognizing the extraordinary cooking talent of women. Following its remarkable success in Maharashtra, the prestigious competition is being introduced in Rajasthan for the first time.
The initiative seeks to provide talented women from across the state with a platform to showcase their culinary skills, earn statewide recognition, and preserve Rajasthan's traditional food culture by passing it on to future generations.
The competition will focus exclusively on pure vegetarian cuisine, with special emphasis on traditional Rajasthani recipes and heritage dishes that have been prepared in households for generations. Participants will have the opportunity to present iconic dishes such as Dal Baati Churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri, traditional millet-based recipes, sweets, and other regional delicacies. Entries will be judged on taste, presentation, originality, authenticity, and cultural significance.
Speaking about the initiative, Nikita, Trustee and Chief Community Officer of Umang Today's Women, said, "Kitchen Queen of Rajasthan is not just a cooking competition; it is a powerful platform for women whose culinary skills have been the pride of their families for years. Our aim is to honour Rajasthan's traditional culinary heritage and provide talented women with statewide recognition. We believe this platform will boost women's confidence while bringing greater recognition to Rajasthan's rich food culture."
Auditions will be held in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, and Ajmer. Participants will present dishes prepared at home before a panel of expert judges. The top five contestants from each city will qualify for the Grand Finale, where 25 finalists will compete for the prestigious Kitchen Queen of Rajasthan title.
The top three winners will be crowned Kitchen Queen of Rajasthan and will each receive an attractive gift hamper worth ₹10,000, along with the prestigious title.
