Jaipur, October 2: The annual art exhibition ‘Navkriti – 5th Edition’, organised by Vasudha Sharma, founder of Mandala Art Gallery, Studio & Academy, was inaugurated with enthusiasm at the gallery in Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, on Thursday.
The exhibition was inaugurated at 12:15 pm by Ward 6 Councillor Snehlata Sabu, JECRC University Dean Shivani Kaushik, and Shilp Guru Gopal Saini, founder of Ram Gopal Blue Pottery, who jointly lit the ceremonial lamp.
National Award-winning artist Ramu Ramdev and former HOD of the University of Rajasthan Dr. Rita Pratap were among the special guests. They visited the exhibition and appreciated the creative works of the young artists.
Eight Themed Collections Attract Art Lovers
On the opening day itself, eight theme-based collections created by young artists became the major attraction for visitors. These included:
Surbhi’s ‘JAG KE NATH – JAGANNATH’ – depicting the compassion of Lord Jagannath through Kalamkari.
Prisha’s ‘BLOOM IN 3D’ – three-dimensional clay flowers conveying the message that every child blooms in their own time.
Girisha’s ‘SHIVA & NANDI’ – portraying the eternal bond of faith between Lord Shiva and Nandi.
Charvi’s ‘AADYA – SHE IS THE POWER’ – a Kalighat-style collection celebrating women’s empowerment, which received widespread appreciation.
Akshita’s ‘Sculpted Serenity’
Preeti’s ‘Eyes of the Wild’
Pari’s ‘Game of Fate’
Akarshi’s ‘The Eternal Message’, based on the Bhagavad Gita.
The guests said that the artworks showcased more than just colours, with each canvas carrying a deeper message—ranging from devotion and women’s empowerment to the message of Karma Yoga in the Gita and the call for wildlife conservation.
Founder Vasudha Sharma said that the exhibition will remain open to visitors from 11 am to 7 pm every day until October 4.
