Jaipur, November 4. In a significant initiative to promote Rajasthan's rich artistic and cultural heritage and provide a prominent platform to young and emerging artists, the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), Jaipur, is organising an “Exhibition-cum-Sale of Paintings by Emerging Artists” from November 5 to 30, 2026.
The exhibition will be held at the Art Gallery on the first floor of Rajasthan International Centre and will remain open to visitors daily from 11 am to 7 pm.
More than 50 artworks by young and emerging artists from various districts of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Bundi, Ajmer and Bharatpur, will be showcased. The primary objective is to provide talented artists with an opportunity to exhibit their creations and connect with art lovers and collectors.
Visitors will get an opportunity to explore diverse forms and styles of art, including modern and contemporary art, folk and traditional art, realistic paintings and experimental artworks. Several artists have portrayed Rajasthan's rich folk traditions, cultural heritage, lifestyle and social environment through a contemporary artistic perspective. The exhibition will therefore offer a beautiful blend of traditional art and modern creative expression.
A special feature of the exhibition is that all displayed artworks will be available for sale. Prices will range from approximately ₹10,000 to ₹2 lakh, allowing art enthusiasts and first-time collectors to purchase original artworks according to their preferences and budgets.
Special Initiative by RIC to Support Artists
Through this exhibition, Rajasthan International Centre has taken an important step towards financially empowering artists and providing them with access to the art market. Notably, RIC will charge only a 5 per cent commission on the sale of artworks.
While many private art galleries generally charge commissions ranging from 40 to 50 per cent on artwork sales, RIC's nominal commission has been introduced to ensure that artists receive a greater share of the financial benefits from their creations.
RIC aims not only to organise art exhibitions but also to create employment opportunities for artists, provide recognition to their work and develop Jaipur into a strong centre for art and an active art marketplace.
RIC Continuously Developing a Platform for Art and Artists
It is noteworthy that Rajasthan International Centre has previously organised important exhibitions such as the ‘Rang-e-Rajasthan’ Art Exhibition and ‘The Legendary Masters of Indian Art’. These exhibitions were also organised with the objective of promoting artwork sales and collectively recorded sales exceeding ₹10 lakh.
Through such initiatives, RIC has made significant efforts to establish stronger connections between artists, art enthusiasts and collectors.
Under the guidance and support of Rajasthan International Centre Director Nihal Chand Goyal, continuous efforts are being made to promote art and culture. The present exhibition has been curated by RIC Curator Nikhat Ansari. Drawing upon her experience and contribution to the field of art, the exhibition aims to provide young artists with a well-organised and professional platform.
This initiative is expected to offer an important opportunity for the new generation of artists in Rajasthan to showcase their talent, connect with the art market and move towards financial independence.
Rajasthan International Centre has invited art lovers, collectors and members of the public to visit the exhibition, appreciate the creativity of emerging artists and encourage the state's new artistic talent.
Original Artworks: A Special Gift for Diwali
Keeping the festive spirit of Diwali in mind, the exhibition is being organised as a special opportunity for art enthusiasts and potential buyers. During the festive season, people often look for unique ways to decorate their homes and workplaces and present memorable gifts to their loved ones.
In this context, original paintings and artworks can serve as distinctive and meaningful gifts. Through this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase original artworks of their choice while directly supporting and encouraging young artists.
RIC hopes that this Diwali, more people will connect with art and contribute to promoting emerging artistic talent by purchasing their creations.
