11th Indo-Nepal Skating Tournament Concludes with Jaipur Skaters Clinching Gold

 

Jaipur June 29:

The 11th Indo-Nepal Skating Tournament, organized by the Nepal Roller Skates Association and Morang District Skating & Skateboarding Association, concluded today at Delhi Public School, Biratnagar. The tournament, held from June 26 to 29, featured enthusiastic participation from skating teams representing both India and Nepal.

Representing Jaipur with distinction, two young skaters from Skates India Club, coached and mentored by Director Shahbaz Siddiqui, brought glory to the city by securing gold medals in their respective categories.

Four-year-old Shaurya Maheshwari achieved an exceptional feat by winning gold in both Single Lap and Double Lap events under the QUAD category. Likewise, Avahan Katta dominated the INLINE category, earning gold medals in both rounds. Both talented skaters are students of Jaishree Periwal School, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur.

The tournament was jointly organized by DRSA Academy (Gurugram) and AK Roller Skating Academy, under the aegis of the Amateur Roller Skating Federation of India, in collaboration with the Nepal Roller Skates Association.

This international sporting event not only strengthened Indo-Nepal sports ties but also showcased rising young talents like Shaurya and Avahan, who have set new benchmarks in the world of roller skating.
