a Patriotic Evening Honouring India’s Real Heroes — A Salute to Courage, Commitment & Command*
Jaipur, 2nd July 2025: In an evening that resonated with patriotism, pride, and purpose, FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter, under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, hosted FLO SWADESH – From Ranks to Realm: Women in Command at ITC Rajputana, Jaipur.
The powerful and soul-stirring event was graced by the esteemed presence of *Lt. Gen. Manjinder Singh, AVSM, YSM, VSM, GOC-in-C, South Western Command* , the Chief Guest for the evening. His address left a profound impression on the audience as he reflected on India’s Defence values, leadership with integrity, and the emotional strength behind every uniformed hero. *Speaking passionately about the inclusion of women in leadership, he emphasized that empowering women within the forces and beyond is not just a matter of equality but of national strength and progress.*
The evening also featured an exclusive session with *Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi* , a Kargil War Veteran, motivational speaker, and the first woman officer in the Indian Army’s logistics division to serve during active war while pregnant. In a deeply moving and candid address, Capt. Tyagi narrated her journey — a story of duty amidst chaos, resilience in uniform, and service with motherhood. Her testimony brought alive the challenges and triumphs of women in defence, offering a lens into the unspoken realities of war, gender, and grit.
Her message to the audience echoed loudly: *“True patriotism is not in words, but in action — whether at the border or at home. When women rise, nations rise.”* Her words touched hearts, stirred emotions, and inspired applause across the hall.
The event also featured interactive Q&A sessions, giving FLO members an opportunity to directly engage with both dignitaries. Their insights — laced with battlefield anecdotes, personal reflections, and leadership wisdom — gave the audience a rare glimpse into the ethos of military life and the profound contribution of women within it.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from Army officers, senior government officials, FLO members, and distinguished guests, all united by a spirit of pride and gratitude. Over 200 women professionals and entrepreneurs from Jaipur attended, many dressed in the vibrant colours of the Tricolour, symbolizing unity and national pride.
The venue brimmed with emotion, standing ovations, and admiration for the real heroes of our country. The evening concluded with a message of empowerment and collective strength — a celebration not just of service to the nation, but of the spirit of Naari Shakti and those who carry the torch of leadership across terrains and roles.
FLO SWADESH stood as a proud tribute to India’s Armed Forces and the rising role of women in leadership — reminding us that courage has many faces, and service knows no gender.
