Gender Sensitivity Awareness Program Held at 1 Raj Air Squadron NCC Camp in Phagi, Jaipur

1 Raj Air Squadron NCC successfully conducted a Gender Sensitivity Awareness Program on 3 July in its training camp Phagi, Jaipur. The program aimed to raise cadet awareness on gender understanding, discrimination, equality, women’s empowerment, and creating a safe, inclusive environment.

 Dr. Shashilata Puri (RUWA President), Dr. Beena Agarwal (Vice President), Flight Lieutenant Prof. Prerna Puri (MSSK Convenor), and Dr. Priya (Joint Secretary) emphasized the importance of youth involvement in addressing gender issues. Prof. Puri also highlighted RUWA’s initiatives and the role of the Women’s Counseling and Safety Center (MSSK).

Group Captain Somnath Mitra, Commanding Officer, praised the initiative for encouraging cadets to become responsible and empathetic citizens. Flight Commander D.S. Chauhan (CGI) urged youth to overcome biases and adopt inclusive perspectives.

ANO Flight Lieutenant Neelam Sharma thanked all guests, cadets and noted that such programs are crucial steps toward fostering a tolerant and equal society. Cadets actively contributed by sharing their experiences and reaffirming their commitment to promoting gender equality.
