Jaipur.JECRC University hosted “Utkarsh – Sports Leadership Conclave”, where experts discussed the integration of sports, education, and leadership. On this occasion, the university also announced the launch of a new Diploma in Sports and Management, aimed at students aspiring to build professional careers in the sports industry.
The event began with a welcome address by Vice Chancellor Prof. Victor Gambhir, who highlighted that under the National Education Policy, sports and yoga are now being integrated with academics to ensure holistic development of students. He added that the university is already offering credit courses related to sports and yoga in line with this vision.
The chief guest, Krishna Poonia, a Commonwealth Games gold medalist, shared her journey and said that success in sports requires dedication and determination. She encouraged youth to actively participate in sports and adopt yoga as a lifestyle, emphasizing that sports also help in reducing mental stress.
Former athlete Ram Singh Shekhawat stated that India has no shortage of talent, but it is essential to identify and guide it in the right direction. He प्रेरित youth to move forward with discipline, hard work, and clear goals.
Sports medicine expert Dr. Rajat Jangid spoke about the scientific aspects of sports, explaining that regular physical activity releases endorphins, which improve mental health and enhance memory. He stressed the importance of proper medical support for athletes and better coordination between coaches and doctors.
Yoga expert Neeraj highlighted that yoga is an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety and should be incorporated into daily life.
During the conclave, detailed information about the newly introduced Diploma in Sports and Management was shared. The course will provide students with knowledge of sports management, fitness, leadership, and the sports industry, helping them explore new career opportunities and grow professionally.
The conclave conveyed a strong message that sports is no longer just a hobby but is rapidly emerging as a promising career option.
