PRASAR Announces Annual Awards; Gopal Sharma to Receive Lifetime Achievement Honor

 

Bikaner. The Public Relations and Allied Services Association (PRASAR) has announced its annual awards for this year. The Ghanshyam Goswami Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award will be conferred upon retired Additional Director of the Public Relations Department, Gopal Sharma.

The Kishan Kumar Vyas ‘Azad’ Memorial PR Ratna Award will be presented to former Assistant Director Veena Karamchandani. Meanwhile, the Dinesh Chand Saxena Memorial Young PR Professional Award will be given to Surendra Samariya (Bagwara), a young Public Relations Officer.

PRASAR President Dr. Harishankar Acharya informed that the final list of awardees was approved by the executive committee on Tuesday on the occasion of National Public Relations Day. The award ceremony will be आयोजित next month.

He added that PRASAR has been organizing this annual program since 2019, while the Young PR Professional Award was introduced last year. All three awardees—Sharma, Karamchandani, and Samariya—are residents of Jaipur. Gopal Sharma and Veena Karamchandani are also actively engaged in literary pursuits.

Senior Vice President Kumar Ajay stated that the initiative aims to preserve the memory of departed officers of the department and to honor retired officials. So far, several officers, including former Director Dr. Amar Singh Rathore, have been recognized.

On the occasion, Vice President (Regional) Dharmendra Meena, Vice President (Headquarters) Chandrashekhar Pareek, Treasurer Hari Shankar Sharma, General Secretary Abhay Singh, Secretary Mohit Jain, and Joint Secretary Pushpak Meena shared their views through an online platform.
