Jaipur. Shri Kalpataru Sansthan will organize the “Vriksh Mitra Samman Samaroh 2026” on May 6 at Hotel Clarks Amer as part of its 31st annual celebration. The grand event, scheduled for 2:00 PM, will see renowned Bollywood actress and Padma Shri awardee Raveena Tandon along with other distinguished guests honoring individuals and activists for their outstanding contributions to environmental conservation.
Awardees will be presented with mementos, certificates of appreciation, and cash prizes. According to the organizers, around 1,000 environmental activists from across the country are expected to participate in the समारोह.
Notably, noted environmentalist Vishnu Lamba, popularly known as the “Tree Man of India,” formally invited Raveena Tandon in Mumbai and also had the event poster unveiled by her. On this occasion, she shared a video message confirming her visit to Jaipur and praised the environmental initiatives of the institution while extending her congratulations to all activists.
Over the past 31 years, the institution has planted and preserved more than 10 million saplings. It aims to develop 100 villages into environmentally sustainable model villages by 2047, marking 100 years of India’s independence.
It is noteworthy that Shri Kalpataru Sansthan operates without any government funding and is actively engaged in environmental conservation across 22 states in India and 13 countries worldwide. Currently, the organization is running over 150 environmental campaigns globally.
