Timeless Melodies Echo at ‘Guzra Hua Zamana’, Musical Evening Leaves Jaipur Spellbound”

 

Jaipur.Saturday evening turned truly memorable for music lovers at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, as Swar Surabhi Sanstha presented “Guzra Hua Zamana Aata Nahin Dobara”, a captivating musical showcase blending evergreen classics with modern hits. The audience remained immersed in the flow of melodies, enjoying every moment of the soulful evening.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Padma Bhushan and Grammy Award-winning maestro Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, adding prestige to the occasion. Conceptualized by Dr. Prakash Chhablani, the program uniquely brought together songs from the pre-1990 golden era and post-1990 popular music on a single platform.

Soulful Performances by Renowned Artists

The evening featured remarkable performances by some of the city’s distinguished artists. Senior vocalist Prof. Dr. Suman Yadav opened the program with melodious renditions of “Suniyo Ji Arj Mhari” and “Nigahen Milane Ko Ji Chahta Hai.” Sumant Mukherjee revived the depth of classic music with an emotional performance of “Pyar Par Bas To Nahin Hai.”

Dr. Babita beautifully expressed tender emotions through “Tere Liye Hum Hain Jiye,” while Harshvardhan brought intensity and energy with “Laal Ishq.” Sunil Sharma delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Main Jahaan Rahoon,” and Garima Verma spread romantic charm with “Tum Mile Dil Khile.”

Supriya Keswani’s “Tinka Tinka” and Sonia Birla’s “Lambi Judai” moved the audience deeply, while Mamta Jha added a distinct flavor with her ghazal “Kuch Aisi Bhi Baatein Hoti Hain.”

Dr. Prakash Chhablani himself performed “Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke” with great emotion, and Sanjay Raizada infused confidence and vigor through “Na Muh Chhupa Ke Jiyo.”

The evening concluded on a melodious high note with a duet by K.K. and Rajni Thakur, “Yug Yug Se Ye Geet Milan Ke Gaate Rahe Hain.”
