Previous Government Opened Schools Without Appointing Teachers: Dilawar

Jaipur May 5: Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar, while interacting with school children, said that the previous government focused on opening schools but did not pay adequate attention to filling teaching posts. “We are making efforts to fill all vacant positions in schools. So far, around 30,000 posts have been filled, and soon no school will have a shortage of teachers,” he stated.

Dilawar was responding to a question posed by a student during the second day of the Jaipur Bal Mahotsav आयोजित at Pinjrapole Gaushala. He emphasized that the current government is prioritizing strengthening infrastructure rather than merely opening new schools and faculties. Addressing concerns over a recent school incident in Jhalawar, he said that dilapidated school buildings are being repaired. “Newly constructed school buildings now carry details of their construction date as well as the duration for which they are safe to use,” he added, assuring that student safety remains a top priority.

He also appreciated the efforts of Digital Bal Mela and Future Society for organizing the event, stating that such initiatives should be held across the state. Highlighting improvements in education, he noted that government schools have recently outperformed private institutions in board results, and Rajasthan has climbed to the fourth position nationwide in education.
