RCA Adhoc Committee Inspects Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur

 

Jaipur May 5: The Adhoc Committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association conducted an inspection of the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur on Monday. The visit was led by committee convenor Dr Mohit Jaswant Yadav along with members Ashish Tiwari and Arisht Singhvi. Officials of the Jodhpur District Cricket Association were also present during the inspection.

Dr. Yadav said the visit was aimed at assessing the stadium’s readiness for upcoming RCA tournaments and the Board of Control for Cricket in India domestic season 2026–27. He emphasized that the committee is working towards maximizing the use of the stadium for hosting national-level matches.

During the visit, the committee carried out a detailed inspection of the main ground, pitches, north and south blocks, pavilion, gymnasium, spectator galleries, and academy facilities to understand their current condition.

Dr. Yadav added that the committee is committed to upgrading all stadium facilities as per required sporting standards at the earliest. Experienced administrators, experts, and RCA staff will be deployed to address existing shortcomings and prepare the venue for hosting competitions.

Committee member Ashish Tiwari stated that efforts are underway to make the main ground and pitches suitable for hosting BCCI national matches as well as RCA domestic tournaments. He added that experienced curators and ground staff will soon begin work to prepare the wickets and outfield to standards comparable to IPL and international matches.

Another member, Arisht Singhvi, highlighted that the Jodhpur District Cricket Association is extending full support under RCA’s guidance to provide young players with high-quality sports infrastructure. He said that developing the stadium and academy will offer local players access to top-level training facilities and opportunities to perform on international-standard grounds.
