Jaipur. Giving wings to the dreams of young talents and providing them with a platform to showcase their abilities, the 12th edition of “NavYug” under “Zarurat,” an initiative by JECRC University’s social arm “Abhyuday,” was organized with great enthusiasm.
The two-day event featured “Nav-Yug on Wheels,” where children were taken on an educational and recreational outing to Birla Auditorium, Albert Hall Museum, and a soft play area. Along with exploring new places, the children displayed their creativity through activities such as photography, clay craft, “Half to Whole” drawing, and extempore competitions.
An Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Summit and round-table conference was also organized during the event, where experts discussed strategies for social change and educational development aimed at securing a brighter future for children.
Addressing the inaugural session, chief guest Sonal Upadhyay, Vice President HR at Pratham Software Pvt. Ltd., emphasized that corporate social responsibility should not only be treated as a legal obligation but also as a moral duty. She said true societal development is possible only when young people are guided in the right direction along with being provided opportunities and resources.
Malay Kumar Chakraborty, Founder and President of Pehal Social Organization, inspired students by describing selfless service as more valuable than any material wealth. He encouraged the youth to remain conscious about cleanliness and helping others, stating that small efforts can bring major social change in the future.
Highlighting the strong connection between education and society, Arpit Agrawal, Vice Chairperson of JECRC University, said the institution’s real success lies in nurturing responsible and compassionate citizens. According to him, serving humanity is the truest form of education.
The event was also attended by Dhimant Agrawal, Director – Digital Strategies, and Dhruvi Agrawal, Director – People and Culture, whose vision is to create an environment where students excel professionally while understanding their responsibilities toward society.

Run by university students, “Zarurat” has been working for over a decade toward the holistic development of children by providing not only academic learning but also exposure to computers, arts, educational trips, and festive celebrations. “NavYug” serves as a grand celebration of the children’s year-long hard work and talent, giving them a confident platform to express themselves before the world.
