Big Step in the Fight for Student Rights: RU Student Leader Shubham Rewar Begins Indefinite Hunger Strike Against Alleged Atrocities at Jantar Mantar

Jaipur: Rajasthan University student leader Shubham Rewar has launched an indefinite hunger strike in protest against the alleged atrocities and police action against students who were raising their voices for their rights and justice at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

Seeking to ensure constitutional rights for students across the country and register a strong protest against the alleged police brutality, Rewar began his indefinite hunger strike at the Rajasthan University campus at 5 pm.

Soon after he began the hunger strike, a large number of students gathered on the university campus and raised slogans against the administration.

Speaking on the occasion, Shubham Rewar said, “In a democracy, the voices of students are being suppressed through lathis and brutality, which is deeply shameful. What happened to the students at Jantar Mantar is an attack on the self-respect of the youth and student community across the country. My indefinite hunger strike, in which I have given up food, will continue until the affected students receive justice and action is taken against those responsible.”
