Jaipur. Guru Purnima was celebrated with great devotion, respect and enthusiasm at Arpan Music Academy, highlighting the traditional Indian Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) relationship. The programme began with a Guru Vandana, followed by a special Guru Pujan ceremony. Students expressed their gratitude to their teachers by applying tilak, presenting garlands, performing aarti, offering sweets and giving gifts before seeking their blessings.
On the occasion, Academy Directors Rupali Gaud and Ishani Gaud, along with the students, highlighted the importance of the Guru-Shishya tradition. The programme concluded in an atmosphere filled with devotion, reverence and the rich cultural spirit of India.
Ishani Gaud said, “A Guru not only imparts knowledge but also provides the right direction in life, instills good values and builds confidence. The guidance of a Guru helps shape a disciple’s personality and leads them towards the path of success. A Guru’s blessings are the greatest asset in life.”
She further said that Arpan Music Academy is not only imparting education in dance and music but is also working to pass on Indian culture, values and the Guru-Shishya tradition to the younger generation. Such events at the academy continue to strengthen students’ respect and dedication towards their teachers while deepening their connection with Indian culture.
