Jaipur. JECRC University's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, successfully concluded a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Outcome-Based Curriculum and Assessment." The programme aimed to equip faculty members with modern concepts and practical approaches related to Outcome-Based Education (OBE), curriculum design, learning outcomes, and effective assessment methods.
The university described the FDP as a significant initiative towards promoting quality higher education, academic excellence, and continuous quality improvement. Chairman O.P. Agrawal, Vice Chairmen Amit Agrawal and Arpit Agrawal, and President Prof. Victor Gambhir emphasized that such training programmes enhance the professional competencies of faculty members and strengthen quality-driven education within the university.
The programme also received guidance and support from Prof. Ram Ratan (Pro-President), S.L. Agrawal (Registrar), Prof. D.P. Mishra (Senior Academic Advisor), and Dhimant Agrawal (Director, Digital Strategies).
The training sessions were conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Seema Verma, Professor and Rajasthan State Coordinator at NITTTR Bhopal, and Prof. (Dr.) Manish Bhargava, Professor, Head of Department, and Project Director of the Siemens Centre of Excellence. The experts delivered interactive sessions on key topics including Outcome-Based Education, alignment of Course Outcomes (COs) with Programme Outcomes (POs), curriculum and programme assessment, higher-order thinking skills, assessment rubrics, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), learning achievement analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
A total of 31 participants, including deans, directors, heads of departments, and senior faculty members from various schools of the university, actively participated in assignments, group activities, presentations, and achievement assessments throughout the programme. Participants described the FDP as highly informative and valuable for the effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education.
During the valedictory session, participants shared their experiences and highlighted that the knowledge and practical insights gained during the programme would strengthen outcome-based teaching, curriculum development, assessment practices, and continuous quality improvement. They expressed confidence that the training would further reinforce the implementation of OBE at JECRC University while supporting the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP), quality assurance, and accreditation standards.
The successful execution of the programme was led by Prof. Ruchi Seth, Dean, IQAC, whose leadership, strategic planning, and continuous guidance played a pivotal role. Yajuvendra Soni and Vikas Leel were instrumental in coordinating participants and managing the programme's smooth execution.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Narendra Kumar Agrawal, Deputy Director, IQAC, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished experts, guests, participants, and organizing committee, while reaffirming JECRC University's commitment to quality education, innovation, research, and academic excellence.
