Jaipur. Dr. Chef Saurabh Sharma, known for his research and preservation of Indian cuisine and traditional culinary heritage, was honoured with the prestigious ‘Culinary Ambassador of India’ title at the Chef X and CAFR Chefs Conclave 2026 held in Chandigarh.
The conclave was organised by the Chefs Association of Five Rivers (CAFR) in association with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support from the Punjab Government.
The honour was presented to Dr. Chef Saurabh Sharma in recognition of his research and contributions to Indian cuisine, particularly regional food traditions and culinary heritage, as well as his efforts to guide and mentor the next generation in the hospitality sector.
For several years, Dr. Chef Saurabh Sharma has been working to take India’s traditional and regional flavours to national and international platforms while preserving the stories and heritage associated with Indian food.
The conclave brought together leading chefs, hospitality industry experts, representatives from the business sector and policymakers from across the country. The event focused on emerging opportunities, changing trends and collaboration in the Indian culinary and hospitality sectors, while highlighting the country’s rich culinary heritage.
Expressing his gratitude for the honour, Dr. Chef Saurabh Sharma thanked the organisers and all those who have supported his work in promoting Indian culinary traditions.
