JECRC University Hosts Physio Fest 2026 with the Message “Move Better. Feel Better. Live Better.”

 

Jaipur, October 1: JECRC University hosted Physio Fest 2026 with the theme “Move Better. Feel Better. Live Better.”, focusing on health, fitness, mental well-being and a healthier lifestyle. Students enthusiastically participated in a range of health awareness, fitness and recreational activities held across the campus.

The event was organised by the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, M-Power Cell, NSS, NCC and the School of Mass Communication. The fest created an atmosphere of energy, enthusiasm and active participation across the university.

Students Participate in Fitness and Recreational Activities

The fest featured a variety of activities including fitness challenges, Zumba, self-defence training, fitness exercises, music and dance-based activities. Students participated enthusiastically, highlighting the importance of making health and physical activity a part of everyday life.

The Physio Mela was another major attraction, featuring more than 15 stalls focused on health, nutrition, mental health, physiotherapy and healthy lifestyle practices, along with informative and engaging activities.

Focus on Health Check-ups and Healthy Lifestyle

The ‘Nourish to Flourish’ stall highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy eating habits. Under ‘Arogya 2.0’, a free health check-up and physiotherapy camp was organised, offering blood pressure and BMI checks, cervicogenic headache screening and physiotherapy consultations.

At the Ergonomics Station, students were educated about correct sitting, standing and working postures and ways to prevent problems caused by poor posture. The ‘Neurosantulan’ centre used modern technology to assess body posture.

The M-Power Cell and Department of Psychology also conducted awareness activities focusing on mental health, emotional balance and psychological well-being.

JECRC Hospital–Infinite Care to Add New Dimension to Health Education

The launch of JECRC Hospital–Infinite Care marks an important step in the university’s efforts towards health education and institutional development. It is creating opportunities to connect health education beyond classrooms, laboratories and clinical training with preventive care, healthy lifestyles, mental health, behavioural well-being and community engagement.

Physio Fest reflected this approach by encouraging students to view health not merely as the treatment of illness, but as an essential component of a balanced and healthy life.

Health Must Become Part of Campus Culture: Arpit Agrawal

Arpit Agrawal, Vice Chairperson, JECRC University, appreciated the initiative and said that a university is not only a place for education but also an environment that shapes students’ habits, values and lifestyles. He emphasised the importance of making health and fitness an integral part of students’ daily lives.

He said that JECRC Hospital–Infinite Care is creating new opportunities to connect health education, preventive care, mental and behavioural health and community engagement at the university. Such initiatives, he added, encourage students to adopt healthier lifestyles while also understanding their responsibility towards society.

Dr. Vishal Jain, Dean and Professor, School of Allied Health Sciences, JECRC University, said that the objective of Physio Fest was not merely to introduce students to physiotherapy and health-related subjects through the curriculum, but also to provide practical experiences and connect these concepts with everyday life.

He said such initiatives help develop awareness about physical activity, correct posture, health and preventive healthcare among students. Appreciating the active participation of students, he added that future healthcare professionals have an important responsibility not only to maintain their own health but also to create awareness about healthy lifestyles in society.
