Thousands of Diyas Illuminate Gupt Vrindavan Dham as Kartik Month Begins with Grand Celebrations

Jaipur: The auspicious month of Kartik, eagerly awaited by devotees throughout the year, began with grand celebrations at Gupt Vrindavan Dham in Jaipur. As evening descended, the entire temple complex was illuminated by thousands of glowing earthen lamps, creating a divine and mesmerizing atmosphere.

Devotees gathered in large numbers to participate in the grand aarti of Lord Shri Shri Krishna Balaram and offered lamps as part of the sacred Deep Daan ritual.

Kartik, also known as Damodar Month, holds special significance for devotees of Lord Krishna. To mark the occasion, a beautifully decorated tableau depicting Lord Krishna's Damodar Leela has been installed at Gupt Vrindavan Dham. The tableau portrays the childhood pastime of Lord Krishna, in which Mother Yashoda ties Him with a rope. Devotees worked together for nearly a month to prepare this magnificent display.

The entire temple has been adorned with attractive decorative lights to celebrate the sacred month. Kartik is considered especially dear to Lord Krishna, and devotees recite the Damodarashtakam throughout the month to seek His divine blessings.

As part of the month-long celebrations, Gupt Vrindavan Dham has organized a 12-day spiritual discourse and three Braj Chaurasi Kos pilgrimages.

A special religious pilgrimage will also be organized on November 9, during which devotees in Jaipur will have the opportunity to seek the blessings of prominent deities originally brought from Vrindavan and worshipped at various temples across the city.

According to Hindu scriptures, performing Kartik Snan (holy bathing) in the early morning, worshipping Tulsi, and lighting lamps near the sacred Tulsi plant in the evening are considered highly auspicious acts of devotion.

It is believed that performing these sacred rituals during Kartik brings immense spiritual merit and divine blessings, with the scriptures describing the rewards as millions of times greater than those of ordinary devotional practices.

The celebrations at Gupt Vrindavan Dham have filled the atmosphere with devotion, spirituality, and festive enthusiasm, offering devotees a special opportunity to connect with Lord Krishna throughout the holy month.
