Jaipur: Three students of the Communication Design programme at the Jaipur School of Design (JSOD), JECRC University — Tanisha Tank, Unnati Gupta and Khyati Agrawal — have brought laurels to the university with their innovative design research. Their research projects were selected for presentation at the International Conference on Design and Innovation Studies (INDES 2026).
International Platform at IIT Guwahati
INDES 2026 was organised by IIT Guwahati and brought together scholars, design experts, academicians, industry leaders and professionals from India and abroad. The conference focused on the evolving relationship between design, innovation, technology, society and culture, along with discussions on sustainable, inclusive and digitally connected design for the future.
Research Presented in Design Tracks
The students’ projects were selected under the Communication Design and Product and Industrial Design tracks. They presented their research before academicians and industry experts from India and abroad and received appreciation for their work.
The students were guided by JSOD faculty members Pranjit Sarma and Chetan Jain, whose mentorship played an important role in the achievement.
Projects Featured in Exhibition and Design Handbook
The selected research projects were also displayed as part of the conference exhibition. Following a review by an international jury, the projects were included in the INDES Design Projects Handbook, marking a significant achievement for the students and recognising their research and creative work at an international platform.
Assam Education Minister Attends Conference
Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu was also present at the conference. His presence added further significance to the academic and design-focused event.
INDES 2026 Linked with Asia Design Week
INDES 2026 was also associated with Asia Design Week, providing professionals and students from the design and creative industries an opportunity to exchange ideas, understand diverse cultures and explore new avenues for international collaboration.
Recognition of Research and Creative Excellence
The achievement reflects the research capabilities, creative thinking and interdisciplinary approach of the students of Jaipur School of Design. It also highlights JECRC University’s efforts to promote research, innovation and new ideas among its students.
The JECRC University fraternity congratulated Tanisha Tank, Unnati Gupta, Khyati Agrawal, Pranjit Sarma and Chetan Jain on the achievement and expressed hope for many more such accomplishments in the future.
