Jaipur: The bravery, sacrifice and glorious history of Rajasthan came alive on Wednesday at the annual function of Apex International School. The school organised its Annual Function and Prize Distribution Ceremony, titled ‘A Saga of Swords and Secrets’, at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), Jhalana. Through spectacular cultural and theatrical performances, students brought Rajasthan’s rich historical heritage to life on stage.
The event featured colourful lighting, attractive stage decorations, traditional costumes and melodious music, creating a captivating atmosphere that enthralled the audience.
Naveen Jain, IAS, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), Civil Aviation, Estates and Cabinet Secretariat, attended the as the Chief Guest. Dr. Ravi Juniwal, Chairman of Apex Foundation, was present as the Guest of Honour. The guests were warmly welcomed, and the programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Tales of Maharana Pratap, Pannadhay and Other Legends Captivate Audience
The central theme of the celebration revolved around Rajasthan’s glorious history and the heroic tales of its legendary personalities. Students showcased the extraordinary courage of Maharana Pratap, the sacrifice of Pannadhay, the martyrdom of Kalibai, the bravery of Maharana Sanga, the devotion of Meera Bai, the contribution of Bhamashah and the dedication of Hadi Rani.
These historical episodes were brought to life through dance, drama, music and dialogues, transporting the audience to the golden era of Rajasthan.
The cultural programme began with Ganesh Vandana. Students then presented ‘Alibaba’s Hidden Treasures’, captivating the audience with its engaging storyline, acting and stage presentation. Another highlight was ‘Saga of Rajasthan Warriors’, which showcased the valour and heroic achievements of Rajasthan’s legendary warriors. The students’ impressive costumes, expressive performances, synchronised dances and musical presentations made the event memorable.
Meritorious Students Honoured
During the, Principal Dr. Archana Singh presented the annual report, highlighting the school's achievements in academics, cultural activities, sports and co-curricular programmes throughout the year.
Students who excelled in various fields were honoured with awards and certificates of appreciation. The award recipients were visibly delighted and enthusiastic.
School Director Dr. Sheetal Juniwal said that the annual function is not merely a platform for showcasing students' talents but also an opportunity to develop their confidence, creativity, leadership skills and teamwork.
She added that this year's theme was chosen to familiarise students with Rajasthan's glorious history, the sacrifices of its great heroes, and India's rich culture and traditions. Such events help instil a sense of pride and respect for the country's heritage among young learners.
