Swar Veeranganas Drape in Lavender, Echoing the Melody of 'Victory'

An enchanting blend of monsoon twilight, melodic richness, and empowered womanhood transformed Jawahar Kala Kendra’s Rangayan Auditorium into a celebration of spirit on Saturday evening. “Jeet Jayenge Hum” was not just a musical evening — it emerged as a cultural fest of resilience, unity, and artistry. The occasion was organized by “Sargam,” one of Jaipur’s most respected women-led musical groups.

Directed by noted singer Mukta Chaddha, the evening was a heartfelt tribute to legendary music composer duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal. Sixteen women from Jaipur, all passionate about music, offered their vocal homage through timeless classics.

Dressed gracefully in lavender, the performers resembled a symphony of monsoon itself. The concert opened with a devotional piece, “Na Maangu Sona Chandi…”, sung collectively by Mukta Chaddha, Rajshree, Mamta, Anuradha, and Sandhya. This was followed by the vibrant “Ud Ke Pawan Ke Rang Chalungi…”, infusing the space with joy and zest.

Kopal Mathur sweetened the mood with “Suno Sajna Papihe Ne…”

Sharmila gave voice to the innocence of love with “Jaane Kyun Log Mohabbat Kiya Karte Hain…”

Santosh Bhati’s “Yashomati Maiyya Se Bole Nandlala…” overflowed with maternal affection, while Nisha Sharma’s emotional “Mere Naseeb Mein Tu Hai Ke Nahin…” left the audience teary-eyed.

Group performances added grandeur to the evening:

“Ek Do Teen…” by Poonam, Nisha, and Sharmila had the entire hall dancing,

Mukta, Anuradha, and Bhavna’s “Koi Jab Raah Na Paaye…” warmed hearts with its message of friendship,

Finally, when all the women joined voices for “Jeet Jayenge Hum Tu Agar Sang Hai…”, it became more than a song — a rousing manifesto of determination, unity, and shared strength.

The event was curated by Usha Agrawal and Anuradha Mathur, with compering by Anuradha.

Chief guest Dr. Madhu Bhatt Tailang, Rajasthan’s first female Dhrupad vocalist, along with special guests Suman Sharma (former Chairperson, State Women’s Commission) and Reshma Khan (Program Head, All India Radio) applauded the soulful celebration.

In sum, this musical gathering by the Sargam Group stood as a shining example of femininity, artistic excellence, and the power of collective expression.
