Jaipur Runners Club Honours Ladakh Marathon Finishers in Special Ceremony

 

Jaipur, September 20 – The Jaipur Runners Club hosted a special felicitation ceremony on Saturday at Jai Club to honour runners who successfully completed the prestigious Ladakh Marathon and other challenging endurance races. A total of fifteen runners from Jaipur participated in the high-altitude Ladakh Marathon, known for its extreme conditions and strict medical clearance requirements.

All the runners from Jaipur showcased exceptional spirit, grit, and determination as they ran through the demanding terrains of Ladakh.

The ceremony was graced by the club’s co-founders Mukesh Mishra and Ravi Goenka, club president Praveen Tijaria, former president Dr. Sadhana Arya, and Jaipur Runners Club Director and world record holder Vishnu Tank. Other members including Aastha Pareek, Sudha Khandelwal, Monika Chaudhary, Bhavana Pareek, Neetika Chaudhary, and Shashi Kiran honored the finishers with garlands and mementoes.

Special Recognition for Mahesh Dwivedi and Suraj.Two runners, Mahesh Dwivedi and Suraj, received special appreciation for their extraordinary achievements:

Mahesh Dwivedi:

Completed the Spiti Ultra – Kunzum La Challenge (77 km) in just 8 hours and 21 minutes.Secured second place in his age category in the Spiti Half Marathon.Achieved a podium finish in the Silk Route Ultra (122 km) with a timing of 15:06:56.Completed the Ladakh Full Marathon in 3 hours and 58 minutes.

Suraj: Set a new non-Ladakhi course record in the Khardung La Challenge 2025 (72 km) with a time of 7 hours and 21 minutes.Achieved a podium finish in the Spiti Marathon (42.195 km), completing it in 3 hours and 44 minutes.

The club also recognized all other finishers, including: Jay Prakash, Dr. Sukesh Jakhar, Nihal Kothari, Rishi Vyas, Raghu S. Nathawat, Mudit Tanwar, Riju Jacob, Rampravesh IAS, Nitin Bindal, Jitendra Rathore, Aditya K, Rajendra Bhaskar, Sanskar Jatrana, Omprakash, Ratan Dhorawat, Chinmay, Himanshu Singh Kuldeep, Deepender Rathore, Dr. Sanjay Arya, and Parth Jangam.

Speaking on the occasion, co-founder Mukesh Mishra said,“Completing races like the Khardung La Challenge, Silk Route Ultra, and the Ladakh Marathon is a true testament to the endurance and passion of these runners.”

Club president Praveen Tijaria added,
