Jaipur – Dabang Delhi KC's six-match unbeaten run came to a thrilling end on Saturday in Match 43 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12. Three-time champions Patna Pirates staged a stunning comeback to defeat Delhi 33-30 at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium, clinching victory with a last-second tackle on Neeraj Narwal.
Despite trailing by 12 points at one stage, Patna Pirates turned the tide, largely thanks to a sensational performance by their captain Ankit, who finished with 12 points (including 6 in defense). Neeraj Narwal led Delhi’s scoring with 8 points, while Ashu Malik contributed 6. For Patna, Ankit stood out not only in defense but also led their spirited second-half resurgence.
Delhi started strong, quickly taking a 4-1 lead within the first three minutes. Patna clawed back through smart tackles from Sudhakar, Ankit, and Ayaan, but Delhi continued to press and eventually enforced an all-out just before halftime, leading 19-10.
The second half saw more dominance from Delhi initially, as they extended their lead to 22-11. But Ankit sparked Patna’s comeback with crucial do-or-die raid points and back-to-back tackles. The Pirates gradually chipped away at the deficit, and after forcing an all-out, brought the scoreline to 26-22.
Ashu tried to pull Delhi ahead again, but Patna’s defense, led by Ankit and supported by Ayaan and Navdeep, stayed sharp. Ankit completed his Super 10 with a tackle on Saurav, and although he was caught on the next raid, the Pirates stayed in the hunt.
In the final minutes, Ayaan and the defense pulled Delhi’s lead down to just one point. With one second left on the clock, Neeraj Narwal went in for Delhi’s last raid but was tackled decisively, sealing Patna’s dramatic 33-30 win and ending Delhi's unbeaten streak.
This marked Patna Pirates' second win in seven matches, while Dabang Delhi KC suffered their first defeat of the season.
