Jaipur: The International Vaishya Federation, Rajasthan, continuing its tradition for the past four years, will once again honor Jaipur’s markets, shopping malls, and shopkeepers with “Best Decoration Awards” for their grand and world-famous Diwali lighting and decorations.
This year, the award ceremony will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Shri Hari Babu Kambhampati in November, who will also present the awards.
State In-charge Shri Dhruvadas Agrawal expressed that it is a matter of pride for Jaipur that its renowned collective Diwali decorations attract tourists from across India and abroad. Most hotels in the city are already fully booked, highlighting the growing popularity of the celebrations.
For the first time, local business associations have announced that the Diwali decorations will span six days, from October 18 to 23, bringing an extended festive vibe to the city.
State President N.K. Gupta shared that this year, Jaipur’s markets are seeing an exceptional festive spirit. Thanks to GST relief by the central government and bonuses for government and private sector employees, the city’s markets are witnessing an unprecedented shopping rush.
State General Secretary Gopal Gupta and State Treasurer Suresh Kalani informed that Jaipur has been divided into three regions for the awards:
1. Walled City (Char Diwari Area), Outer Area (East),Outer Area (West)
The best market, establishment, and mall in each region will be awarded First, Second, and Third Prizes, to be presented by the Governor.
To ensure fair evaluation, three coordinators have been appointed to inspect the decorations across markets during Diwali:
Sohanlal Tambi – Walled City,Sudhir Jain – Outer Area (East),Suresh Kalani – Outer Area (West),Dinesh Gupta – Member Coordinator
Each team will include four supporting members, and final decisions will be made based on collective discussions.
This event serves as a meaningful effort to promote unity, creativity, and cultural aesthetics in society during the joyous festival of Diwali.
