Deputy CM Diya Kumari Inaugurates Jaipur Heritage Photo & Painting Exhibition

Jaipur: To mark the foundation day of Jaipur, the fourth season of the Jaipur Heritage Photo & Painting Exhibition under the Rajasthan Photo Festival was inaugurated on Sunday at the Welcome Art Gallery of ITC Rajputana. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari was the chief guest, along with Chief Electoral Officer (IAS) Naveen Mahajan, First India CEO & Managing Director Pawan Arora, and ITC Rajputana GM Deependra Rana.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors till 20 November.

During the inauguration, Deputy CM Diya Kumari praised the photographs and paintings on display and congratulated all participants. She urged citizens to preserve the city’s heritage and invited everyone to visit all exhibitions organized on Jaipur Foundation Day. She also admired rare old photographs of Maharaja Bhawani Singh Ji showcased at the event.

Exhibition curator Aditi Agarwal welcomed special guests including J.D. Maheshwari, Raghav Goyal, Mohit Taylor, Deepak Gupta, Titu Tanwani, Rahul Singhi, PRO Shashi Kiran, Anoop Srivastava, Jagdeep Singh, and Vijay Sharma.

The exhibition offers Jaipur residents a glimpse of the city’s past and present through captivating visuals. Photos feature Jaipur’s heritage monuments, walled city, temples, festivals, old streets, and cultural highlights. Only Jaipur-themed artwork is showcased, including rare black-and-white images from earlier eras. The platform provides photographers with a valuable opportunity to present their art to the public.

Festival patron Renuka Kumawat said the objective of this exhibition is to bring Jaipur’s culture closer to citizens and promote tourism by showcasing its beauty to youth and visitors. She also extended a warm welcome to Deputy CM Diya Kumari.

For the first time, the exhibition features the old forms of Moti Doongri Ganesh Temple, Khole Ke Hanumanji, Govind Dev Temple, Tadkeshwar Temple, and the historic look of Jaipur’s old Chaupar areas. More than 100 photographers and artists are participating this year.

Entry to the exhibition is free for all, and visitors will receive gift coupons daily.
