Photo Exhibition to Mark Jaipur Foundation Day; Deputy CM Diya Kumari to Inaugurate

Jaipur, November 16 – To celebrate Jaipur Foundation Day, the fourth season of the Jaipur Heritage Photo and Painting Exhibition will be inaugurated on November 16 at the Welcome Art Gallery, ITC Rajputana, as part of the Rajasthan Photo Festival. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari will inaugurate the event, which will run until November 20.

On Wednesday, Diya Kumari unveiled the exhibition poster and congratulated the organizers. The exhibition will showcase captivating photographs of old and new Jaipur, including the city’s heritage monuments, walled city, temples, festivals, old streets, and cultural beauty. The event will provide photographers a common platform to exhibit their talent, featuring only photographs of Jaipur—including rare black-and-white images from earlier times.

Festival patron Renuka Kumawat said the exhibition aims to showcase and promote Jaipur’s rich culture on the occasion of the city’s Foundation Day. “Jaipur’s heritage is renowned both in India and abroad. Through this exhibition, we want today’s youth and the public to experience the city’s beauty and help promote its tourism,” she said.

For the first time, visitors will see photographs revealing the original forms of historic temples such as Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple, Khole ke Hanumanji, Govind Dev Temple, and Tarkeshwar Temple, along with old views of Jaipur’s Chaupar areas.

Over 100 photographers and artists will participate in the exhibition, which will be open to all with free entry. Visitors will also receive gift coupons daily during the event.
