Jaipur, April 1: With the beginning of the new academic session, the Rajasthan Government has brought a fresh opportunity for children through the Digital Bal Mela. Keeping this in mind, the dates of the ‘Jaipur Bal Mahotsav’ have been revised to ensure maximum participation without affecting students’ studies.
Considering the reopening of schools, the schedule of the festival has been extended so that children do not feel any academic pressure during the initial days and can participate in the event with enthusiasm.
In this unique festival, children from 41 districts of Rajasthan will showcase the specialties of their cities, towns, and villages, including local cuisine, culture, and tourism highlights. The platform aims to encourage creativity, innovation, and a sense of local identity among young participants.
In line with the government’s decision, the last date for free registration for the Jaipur Bal Mahotsav has now been extended to April 15.
Janhvi Sharma, founder of Digital Bal Mela, shared that many children from different districts have already submitted their videos. Participants are required to create and send a video highlighting the unique aspects of their district.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, while unveiling the poster of the Jaipur Bal Mahotsav, encouraged children to present the distinctive features of their districts. Kamlesh Sharma, founder of multinational company Cogniviera, termed this initiative a significant beginning and announced scholarships for participating children.
The main objective of the festival is to connect children with their roots and local identity, while promoting creativity and leadership skills. It also aims to present the rich culture, traditions, and tourism potential of Rajasthan’s districts on a common platform.
