Chetna Gram Sansthan Celebrates 11th Foundation Day with Focus on Women Empowerment

Jaipur. The 11th foundation day of Chetna Gram Sansthan was celebrated today at a banquet venue in Jaipur, highlighting the organization’s continued commitment to social development and women empowerment.

The event featured eminent personalities as distinguished guests and panelists, including noted author and historian Dr Rima Hooja, India’s first MBA sarpanch and motivational speaker Chhavi Rajawat, and former Head of Department at Kanoria College and folk art scholar Dr Rekha Bhatnagar.

Founder Vibha Agarwal welcomed the guests and appreciated the efforts of her associates Chetna Agarwal and Nandini Agarwal for the successful organization of the program. She shared that the institution was established on April 22, 2015, in Jaipur with the blessings of her गुरु Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, inspired by principles such as self-reliance, de-addiction, value-based upbringing, and promotion of Indian संस्कार.

Since its inception, the organization has conducted numerous camps across urban colonies and rural areas. During the COVID period, it played a vital role in training women in skills such as stitching and embroidery, enabling them to earn from home, while also distributing masks and essential supplies.

The संस्था continues to organize activities like tree plantation, school renovation, and beautification drives, along with regular training camps focused on women empowerment. These include skills such as mehendi application, stitching, embroidery, and diya-making. Contributions by team members, including Vijay Didi and the “Urja Deepak” initiative led by Jay Agarwal, were specially acknowledged.

The organization’s Self-Help Group (SHG) also showcases its products through exhibitions at Jawahar Kala Kendra. In addition, large-scale community programs such as Punsavan Sanskar ceremonies are also conducted.

Due to its consistent efforts, many women across areas like Sanganer, Bani Park, Jhalana, Mansarovar, Muhana, and several rural regions including Mathurawala, Shrikishanpura, Bilwa, Kapoorawala, and Challawala—covering nearly 150 villages—have become self-reliant.

During the program, a detailed presentation on the organization’s activities and achievements was delivered. Vibha Agarwal explained various initiatives related to social welfare, education, rural development, and women empowerment through a PowerPoint presentation.

Jay Agarwal also presented insights on the “Urja Deepak” initiative, elaborating on its objectives, functioning, and role in bringing positive social change.

All guests appreciated the efforts of the Chetna Gram team and the women associated with it, emphasizing that today’s women are making strong contributions across all fields and should continue to be supported and encouraged.
