Jaipur: With the commencement of the new academic session by the Rajasthan government, the schedule of the Jaipur Bal Mahotsav, organized under the Digital Bal Mela initiative, has been revised to ensure maximum participation of children without affecting their studies.
Keeping in mind the start of the school session, the event dates have been extended so that children do not feel any academic pressure in the initial days of school and can participate in the festival with enthusiasm.
The festival will see participation from children across 41 districts of Rajasthan, who will showcase the unique aspects of their cities, towns, and villages, including local cuisine, culture, and tourism highlights. The platform aims to encourage creativity, innovation, and a strong sense of local identity among young participants.
Considering the revised schedule, the last date for free registration has now been extended to April 15.
Janhvi Sharma, founder of Digital Bal Mela, shared that children from several districts have already submitted their videos. Participants are required to create and submit videos highlighting the uniqueness of their respective districts.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had earlier unveiled the poster of the Jaipur Bal Mahotsav and encouraged children to present the distinctive features of their districts.
Kamlesh Sharma, founder of the multinational company Cogniviera, described the initiative as a significant step and also announced scholarships for participating children.
The primary objective of the festival is to connect children with their roots and local identity, while fostering creativity and leadership skills. It also aims to present the rich culture, traditions, and tourism potential of various districts of Rajasthan on a common platform.
