Jaipur. A grand tree plantation drive was organized at the Hingonia Cow Rehabilitation Centre, operated by Shri Krishna Balram Seva Trust, on the occasion of World Environment Day, reaffirming a strong commitment towards protecting nature and the environment.

Employees of Awas Group and Akshaya Patra participated in the large-scale plantation campaign. A large number of children attending the ongoing Culture Camp at Gupt Vrindavan Dham also took part in the event and learned about the vital role of greenery and trees in environmental conservation.

The occasion also marked the celebration of birthdays of children born in the month of June in the presence of cows. The children fed green fodder to the cows, toured the gaushala and participated in various activities aimed at developing sensitivity towards nature and living beings. They were also educated about the importance of trees and greenery in maintaining ecological balance.

The Hingonia Cow Rehabilitation Centre provides care to nearly 18,000 cattle. During the World Environment Day programme, children were informed about the significance of the Earth, water, trees, birds, animals and cows in Indian culture. They were encouraged to protect nature and preserve trees for future generations, making the event a memorable experience for everyone present.

Vice-President Raghupati Das said that today's generation needs not only environmental awareness but also an understanding of humanity's spiritual connection with nature. He emphasized that values such as cow protection, tree plantation, cleanliness and conservation of natural resources should be inculcated from an early age.
