Jaipur Wax Museum Marks World Environment Day with Tree Plantation, Dedicates Each Sapling to Eminent Personalities

Jaipur. Continuing its commitment to environmental conservation, Jaipur Wax Museum, in association with the Nahargarh Fort administration and the Archaeology Department, organized a tree plantation drive at Nahargarh Fort on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Carrying forward its unique tradition of dedicating saplings to iconic personalities, the museum this year planted trees in the names of Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh, Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, legendary Rajput heroine Hadi Rani, and astronaut Kalpana Chawla. In previous years, saplings had been dedicated to personalities such as Sachin Tendulkar, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Maharani Gayatri Devi and Amitabh Bachchan.

A neem sapling was dedicated to Mahavir Chakra awardee Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh, whose wax statue was recently installed at the Jaipur Wax Museum. The sapling was planted jointly by Nahargarh Fort Superintendent Sohanlal Choudhary and Jaipur Wax Museum Founder-Director Anup Srivastava.

A Gulmohar tree was dedicated to Hadi Rani, symbolizing sacrifice and valor. The plantation was carried out by Dr. Sangeeta Rathore, Financial Advisor to the Forest Department, along with Anup Srivastava.

Speaking on the occasion, Anup Srivastava said that the objective is not merely to plant trees but to nurture them like children so that they become a valuable gift for future generations. He added that the museum administration has taken responsibility for the regular care and watering of all the saplings.

He further said that Jaipur Wax Museum has been carrying out this initiative for several years to spread awareness among tourists and young people about environmental conservation while also highlighting the contributions of great personalities. Visitors to Nahargarh Fort will be able to learn about these inspirational figures through plaques installed alongside the trees.

Several officials and employees from the Archaeology and Forest Departments, along with environmental enthusiasts, were present during the programme.
