Jaipur. A large-scale tree plantation drive was organised at Beed Leopard Reserve on Wednesday under the joint aegis of the Forest Department, Defence Institute, Blossom Group and IIS University. A total of 400 saplings were planted during the campaign, conveying a strong message of environmental conservation and a greener future.
As part of the plantation drive, several native fruit-bearing and shade-giving species, including neem, peepal, mulberry, jamun, lasoda, banyan, jungle jalebi, sheesham, semal and gular, were planted. The species were selected with the aim of enriching the region's biodiversity, strengthening natural habitats for wildlife and maintaining ecological balance.
During the programme, Range Forest Officer Raghuvendra Singh said that at a time when the world is facing climate change and growing environmental challenges, tree plantation is not merely a campaign but a social responsibility. He said such collective efforts would help increase green cover, provide better natural habitats for wildlife and ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.
Rohit Gangwal said that tree plantation is no longer the responsibility of an individual but a collective responsibility of the entire world. He urged more and more people to participate in and continue organising such plantation programmes.
