Jaipur. Rawat Public School, Pratap Nagar has been honoured with the prestigious Recognition for International Dimension in Schools (RIDS) Award 2026–29 by the British Council for its outstanding efforts in promoting global perspectives, international collaboration, and innovative teaching practices.
The award was presented at a grand ceremony held at Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi, where selected schools from across India and abroad were recognised. Representing the Rawat Educational Group, Director Narendra Singh Rawat and Dr. Akshita Rawat received the honour on behalf of the school.
To earn the award, the school successfully conducted seven international academic and cultural activities aligned with India's National Education Policy and the vision of global citizenship. Three of these activities were organised in collaboration with partner schools in Nepal and Argentina.
The collaboration with Nepal focused on cultural heritage and folk dance exchanges involving India, Nepal, and Russia, while students also discussed contemporary issues, social challenges, and regional cooperation among South Asian countries. These activities helped strengthen students' global outlook, cultural understanding, and leadership skills.
The partnership with Argentina centred on the study, demonstration, and comparative analysis of traditional sports from both countries, enabling students to explore each other's sporting traditions and cultural values.
The school also organised several in-house activities, including research presentations on the global impact of COVID-19, innovation-based projects on environment-friendly transportation systems, and culinary art sessions featuring traditional cuisines from different countries. Students, teachers, and parents actively participated in these programmes, fostering global citizenship, teamwork, communication skills, cultural appreciation, and international cooperation.
Notably, Rawat Public School, Pratap Nagar had previously received the British Council International School Award for the 2019–2022 cycle. Receiving the RIDS Award once again reflects the school's continued excellence in education, innovation, and international engagement.
Congratulating the school, B. S. Rawat praised Principal Maitreyi Shukla, the coordinators, teachers, students, and the entire school community. He said the honour is a matter of pride not only for the school but for the entire Rawat Educational Group, reaffirming its commitment to providing quality, modern, and globally oriented education.
