Jaipur. In a significant step towards building a drug-free, empowered and healthy India, Gupta Vrindavan Dham, Hare Krishna Movement, Jaipur, has taken a strong and meaningful initiative to promote awareness against substance abuse and encourage community participation.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and the Hare Krishna Movement have joined hands through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen efforts related to drug de-addiction awareness and community engagement.
The initiative aims to create greater awareness among the youth—the future of the country—about the harmful effects of drugs and narcotic substances. It will also encourage students, rural communities, employees and people from all sections of society to adopt a healthy, positive and purposeful lifestyle.
The collaborative initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Hare Krishna Movement is expected to play an important role in youth empowerment and character building. The MoU will help young people develop the confidence, emotional resilience and life skills needed to face challenges, while also encouraging them to understand and uphold positive values in life.
A drug-free youth, an empowered society and a healthy nation remain the shared objectives of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Hare Krishna Movement.
