Jaipur: FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter, under the inspiring leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, hosted an exhilarating and thought-provoking wilderness experience at Jhalana Leopard Safari, Jaipur. Titled " FLO SAFARI – Power, Poise and Pulse of the Wild ", the event blended adventure, environmental awareness, and meaningful dialogue — offering over 100 enthusiastic FLO members a deeply immersive evening with nature.
The highlight of the evening was the presence of Dr. Anish Andheria, President & CEO of the Wildlife Conservation Trust, one of India’s most respected wildlife conservationists, photographers, and storytellers. Dr. Andheria addressed the members during an engaging session at the Interpretation Centre, where he spoke about the vital importance of ecological balance, wildlife preservation, and sustainable coexistence with nature.
His powerful anecdotes — drawn from decades of experience in India’s national parks and conservation corridors — offered a fresh perspective on how we view the natural world. He emphasized the role of citizen awareness and the collective responsibility we hold toward wildlife protection.Following the inspiring session and a relaxed Hi-Tea, members embarked on a 2-hour guided safari into the wild terrains of Jhalana — one of the country’s first leopard conservation reserves within a city. With binoculars in hand and cameras ready, the group witnessed the untouched beauty of the forest, including sightings of peacocks, nilgais, and other flora and fauna in their natural habitat.
The experience for FLO members wasn’t just a nature trail; it was a journey of reflection — reconnecting with the Earth, appreciating its biodiversity, and feeling the pulse of the wild.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat shared FLO Safari is not just an adventure — it is an awakening. In a world of digital distractions and concrete jungles, it is essential that we pause, listen to the silence of the forest, and learn from nature’s wisdom. We are honoured to have had Dr. Anish Andheria guide us through this journey of understanding and awareness. This unique initiative reflected FLO Jaipur’s commitment not just to women empowerment and entrepreneurship, but also to responsible citizenship and environmental stewardship. The safari concluded with members leaving not only with beautiful memories but also with a renewed sense of purpose — to conserve, protect, and respect the natural world.
