Jaipur. The 2-Pages Book Club will organize a special author session on the book The Battle of Narnaul at the Clock Tower on Sunday. The event is being held in collaboration with Penguin Random House.
Authors Kulpreet Yadav and Madhur Rao will participate in the session and discuss their book, which narrates one of the fiercest battles of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The discussion will focus on the courage and leadership of the legendary warrior Rao Tula Ram, who played a crucial role in resisting British rule.
During the session, the authors will also talk about the historical significance of the battle, the research involved in writing the book, and lesser-known stories related to India’s freedom struggle. Rao Raghavendra Singh, the great-great-grandson of Rao Tula Ram, will also attend the event and share his thoughts on the legacy of the freedom fighter and its relevance in today’s times. The session will be moderated by Nishtha Agarwal.
About the Authors:
Kulpreet Yadav received his education from the Indian Naval Academy and served in the Indian Coast Guard for nearly 20 years. During his service, he commanded three ships and retired in 2014 with the rank of Commandant. After retirement, he devoted himself fully to writing and has authored 18 books so far. His notable works include The Battle of Rezang La (2021) and The Battle of Haji Pir (2024).
Co-author Madhur Rao is a history enthusiast with a deep interest in the history and culture of the Ahirwal region and North India. He is an alumnus of Sherwood College. Currently, he runs a school in Kotputli and manages his businesses in Jaipur and Gurugram. The Battle of Narnaul is his first book as an author.
