Jaipur: A dramatic wildlife moment was witnessed at Jhalana Doongri Leopard Safari on Friday when a leopard named Rana climbed up a tree after spotting a hyena in the area.
The incident coincided with the beginning of the annual wildlife census in Jaipur. The counting of wildlife is being conducted across key forest regions including Nahargarh, Amer, Amagarh, Galta, and Jhalana Doongri. The census began at 5 PM on Friday and will continue until 5 PM on Saturday.
Ranger Jitendra Singh Shekhawat of Jhalana Doongri Leopard Safari informed that proper arrangements for drinking water and food have been made for all staff members and volunteers involved in the counting process, considering the intense summer heat.
