Jaipur. The August meeting of the Jaipur Intellect Group (JIG) was held at Jaipur Club on Tuesday, where members engaged in an in-depth discussion on the need for reforms in India's reservation system. The session was hosted by Ranu Srivastava.
The meeting focused on the theme, "Are reforms in the reservation system necessary to strike a balance between social justice and equality of opportunity?" Members deliberated on whether reservation should continue to be caste-based or whether the country's educational system should be strengthened to a level where reservation is no longer required.
Participants exchanged views on the current structure of the reservation policy, its social impact, and possible reforms for the future. The discussion emphasized the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for all sections of society through a fair and balanced approach.
