Large Number of Visitors Attend Exhibition on Final Day; First Marwar Travel Mart to Begin in Jodhpur on September 20

Jaipur, September 19: The sixth edition of the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2026 concluded on Saturday amid enthusiasm among members of the travel trade fraternity. Both buyers (domestic tour operators) and sellers (owners of tourism products) expressed satisfaction with the response received at the mega travel mart. More than 21,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings were held between registered buyers and sellers during the two-day event.

During these meetings, buyers gathered information about various tourism and hospitality products and services available across Rajasthan and discussed potential business opportunities.

Surendra Singh Shahpura, President of the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR), said RDTM has emerged as a major B2B tourism and hospitality mart in Rajasthan, bringing key stakeholders from the country's travel and tourism sector onto a common platform. Participants included hoteliers, luxury and experiential tourism service providers, travel agents, tour operators, wedding planners, event managers, airlines, tourism boards, policymakers, media representatives and social media influencers.

Participants said they received encouraging responses during the two-day mart and developed several potential business opportunities. The B2B meetings provided them with an opportunity to connect with new buyers and establish business contacts for Rajasthan's tourism and hospitality products.

Around 300 travel agents from across the country and more than 700 properties and tour companies from Rajasthan participated in this year's mart. The exhibition showcased Rajasthan's tourist destinations, hospitality services and experiential tourism products to leading buyers from across the country.

For the first time, the event also provided a platform to the events and wedding industry, creating new opportunities for Rajasthan's wedding and MICE sectors. The lesser-known regions of Rajasthan were also showcased through their art, culture, heritage and cuisine.

On the final day, the RDTM 2026 exhibition was opened to the general public after 2 pm. Visitors explored various tourism and hospitality products, services and new travel experiences offered across Rajasthan. People visited different stalls to gather information and learn more about the tourism potential of different regions of the state.

Rajasthan Tourism Pavilion Emerges as a Major Attraction

The pavilion of the host state, Rajasthan Tourism, was one of the major attractions at RDTM. It showcased the state's rich culture, heritage, architecture, cuisine and traditions, with a special focus on experiential tourism.

Visitors were introduced to experiences such as staying with rural families, learning to prepare traditional dishes with local communities, cycling tours through lesser-known destinations and exploring Rajasthan from the perspective of local communities.

Several initiatives promoting responsible tourism were also showcased, including the restoration of stepwells and efforts to preserve the heritage and cultural identity of the traditional Kamaycha musical instrument, widely associated with the Manganiyar community.

The event also featured stalls by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, FHTR Enabling Centre, Central Bank of India and heritage hotels, along with hotels, properties and tourism organisations associated with destinations such as Jawai, Jaisalmer and Pushkar.

Artisans associated with Rajeevika and folk artists from Rajasthan were also given a platform at RDTM. Artisans displayed their handicrafts and artwork near the registration counter, while performances of Rajasthani folk music attracted participants and visitors.

RDTM 2026 was organised by the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) in collaboration with the Tourism Department, Government of Rajasthan. The event received support from several tourism and hospitality associations, including the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) and Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), along with several other prominent national tourism organisations.

This year, the CREDAI Tourism Wing also participated in the event as part of its initiative to contribute to tourism development. The mart aimed to showcase the diversity of Rajasthan's tourism and hospitality sector across the country and create new business opportunities for industry stakeholders.
